12th March '07 (monday)

wokeup at 5am (tired la!) . prepared. set off.

my dad and one of his friend took turn to drive to malaysia. we stopped a lil' while at one of the rest point (which was opened by mediacorp artisite cheng shu chen) ... and we had a lil' breakfast there. yong tau foo ! = RM6. ( SG3 bucks!)

even though my dad studied malay last time... we still had tough time finding Hotel Midah as the traffic direction board was all in melayu~~ dang~
unlike SG, traffic in m'sia was terrible too. we nearly crashed with one car. *god bless me!*

so we reached m'sia ard 12pm ! long journey in the car ... (=_=)

well so...

we had lunch at one the famous Buk Kut Teh shop in KL.
for those who don't know how does buk kut teh (pork rib tea soup) looks like..
it's like this :)

fragrance soup base, fresh pork rib and intentine + kong fu tea to go along with.
yummy !

after lunch, off we go to visit some of KL's tourist attraction:

KL's Petronas Twin Towers

At a dizzying height of 452 metres, Petronas Twin Towers, a pair of 88-storey buildings, are the world's tallest free-standing towers. Apart from offices, these awesome towers also house a state-of-the-art concert hall--the Petronas Philharmonic Hall, home of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra and the Petronas Performing Arts Group.

The designs on the towers are based on geometric patterns common in Islamic architecture. Special features of the towers include the double-deck sky-bridge and high speed double-deck lifts. The first few floors house shopping arcades restaurants, a science museum and the concert hall and are the only floors open to public.

I even saw my hugoboss, Gucci .. and dunhill Pursuit new fragrance launch promotion hall there. haha

2nd tourist attraction i went,

Kuala Lumpur Tower (Menara Kuala Lumpur)

Overview of Kuala Lumpur Tower (Menara Kuala Lumpur):

Statuesque at a height of 421 metres, the imposing tower is reputed to be the highest in Asia and the fourth tallest telecommunications tower in the world. One of the distinctive architectural features of Menara Kuala Lumpur is a dome-shaped arch at every doorway on the upper ground floor, decorated with glass pieces that illuminate like giant diamonds. Visitors can enjoy a bird's eye view of the city from either the height of the observation deck or from the revolving restaurant.

next, went chi cheong gai ( KL's chinatown which is also called: petaling street chinatown) to shop and had dinner.

Overview:

A must for any tourist. PETALING STREET - The heart of Kuala Lumpur's original CHINATOWN and a bustling night market serving as a bargain hunter's paradise and one of the premier shopping areas in the city with its distinctly oriental atmosphere.

Petaling Street maintains much of its traditional atmosphere, particularly at night when vendors spread their wares out on the street. While it is possible to purchase anything from gems and incense to toys and t-shirts here, enjoying the night market is really a matter of just wandering about and enjoying its sights, sounds, and energy. Incredible bargains amidst a melange of signs, shops, noise and roadside food stalls open until the wee hours of the morning.

and so we had our dinner on the roadside stall selling famous ClayPot rice.

and to go along ... fresh coconut drink to quench our thirst!

after lunch, lets continue to explore.

and around 2+pm. we shall set off back home !

so another long journey sitting in car again. seriously backache ! haha

plus sudden of heavy rain ..road slippery! can't see la well .. u know malaysia the road... don't have and street lights ! terrible for those driver to see at night ! zz

we went to JB for our dinner.

from the time we off hill from genting at 2+pm.

we reach JB around 8+pm! really long car ride yea? (=_=)
we eat lotsa seafood for so many days la especially fish head curry again! every dinner i had past few days was SO FULL! but still i didnt grow fat. Zzzz...

after dining. yada yada~ .. and drove off back to singapore !

home sweet home at around 10.15pm !

yay ~~ im back !

overview of this trip:

fruitful. eye opening and fun and alot of cheap nice food and stuffs ( i even saw BK's ice cream selling at RM0.5 sen.. which is = SG 0.25 cents ! (o.O!)
but..
going back to singapore makes me feel more secured somehow.

don't u think so? our SG security is tight. no riots. no messy traffics. and good food too ! haha .. peace !

Malaysia truly Asia.. so is Singapore !

yea! hahaz *wink*
