Trip to HaiNanDao, Sanya, Haikou

(海南岛,三亚,海口之旅)

9th April (Monday) to 16th April (Monday)

okie .. so 1 + month ago during the last week of the sch holiday.. me and my parents went for a 8days holiday to hainandao.

Day 1

although been taking airplanes since young.. this is still my 1st time taking plane from budget terminal airport
so yeah ..check in ard 12pm. taking TigerAirways :)

so where the heck is HanNanDao-Haikou-Sanya ??




we're boarding !!





reached haikou MeiLan airport around 4pm.
took taxi to Sanya -- 3+ hours ride!! zzzz
by the time reached our resort at Sanya bay ... we had our dinner around 9+pm at the local seafood stall.


In HaiNanDao.. especially SanYa .. other than their famous beautiful beach .. and coconut or seashell products ..
their seafood is the only thing u can find there. lotsa and lotsa of seafood resturant. nth much else of a nice food u can find. lol
mind u, i have been eating 1 week of seafood EVERY single day! sick of them !! :(

International Buffet Breakfast in the morning at the resort's Cafe! weee~~

After a hearty breakfast... we set off to the 1st tourist attraction of the day.

--- 鹿回头公园 ---

( also known as Deer-Turning-Back park )

on our way.. drived past SanYa's Feng Huang international airport

The park is located on a hilltop close to the downtown of Sanya for a bird's eye view over the city and the endless glittering blue sea. There is a statue of a deer and a young Chinese maiden, which bears a local legend of love between hunters chasing a doe, said to have a human-soul. As the doe faced the sea beneath the cliff under her feet, she turned around and was magically transformed into a pretty maiden. The pulled arrow that shot out was not for venison but for love in the name of Cupid. It is a 10 minutes climb up the hill .before climbing up the hill..

we bought icecreams though ... at only like SG50cents each? HAHA!

up and up .. walked passed alot of attractions. These reddish thingy hanging all round the trees are known as for couples to write words of promises for their other half on those ribbons and tie them onto the trees to make their wishes. haha another example was buying a Lock and lock it together with the ribbon onto the tree.. and THROW away the key into the sea nearby the deer park. It means staying together forever.

since it's a deer park. of coz our main character of the park is those lovely deers !!hehe~ and so as we headed down hill... we visited the deer farm before we leave.

okie im animal lover especially dogs and cats. but i like other cute animals too~
haha weee! sooo fun.. you can get close with the deers and feed them.. my favourite !
(but it stinks at times la of coz! =.='' ) :D :D

Second Tourist Attraction of the day which we visited:槟樃园 - also known as the 'betel nut garden' or.. erm.. 'chewing park'

这里有黎族人民别具风格的田园风光、有海南岛面积最大最古老的槟榔园

Chewing betel landscaped area on the south park is located in Baoting, sea Yuzhong line 269 km, Sanya expressway from the eastern entrance of eight kilometers. Li people here are unique rural scenery, Hainan Island is the largest of the oldest chewing Park. Manor with a variety of subtropical species of old trees. Here the spring stream into multi-level waterfall from the garden punched out, the impact formed a different shape of the lost group.

their feet skin are damn thick after living so long in the wild.

there's this rather dangerous FlyingFox in the village mountain. no one dare to try. doesnt seems safe like singapore's. ahhaha

well they wan earn money ma yea? hehe

the 3rd Tourist Attraction of the day which we visited:

天涯海角 *Tianya Haijiao*

(which also known as the Edge of Sky and the Rim of Sea) lies below the Xiamaling Hill, about 24 kilometers west of Sanya City in Hainan Island.

In the ancient times, Hainan Island was a place where those exiles lived because there was no means of transportation and few inhabitants in the island. Tianya Haijiao is a vast beach facing the South China Sea. On the beach, appeared numerous huge rocks. Sitting on one of the rocks, you will see a boundless sea meeting the blue sky in the faraway horizontal. It seems that you are at the ends of the earth. Especially, when those exiles in the ancient times came here, they would find no way out but face the sea and give a sigh.

The description of the scholars and poets in the ancient history recorded many tragedy ends here. Odd rocks under the azure sky and coconut trees are dancing in the wind near the blue sea. The scenery is really picturesque and enchanting. On the beach is a giant rock, on which carved with two Chinese characters "Tianya" (the Edge of Sky). Beside it is a reposing rock, on which was carved with "Haijiao" (the Rim of Sea).

Day 3

aaaww~ i damn loved the big swimming pool.

look like in hawaii yea.. no wonder ppl say sanya is being called 东方夏威夷 .. haha

the tourist attraction we're going to for the day:

南山寺- Nan Shan Temple

Hainan Nanshan Temple is the most famous temple in Sanya City, 40 kilometers west of the south Nanshan, covering 400 acres. Nanshan over 500 meters high, the clouds can outlast the mountains. Nanshan Temple location is very good, around a hill, surrounded the vast expanse of water for the South China Sea.

Day 4

we changed resort from sanya bay. moved to YaLoong Bay's universal resort.
ahha.. it looks somehow like safari eh? lol

Day 5

took some photos of our Universal resort early in the morning at 7am.

these part of the building are also part of universal resort.
just that these are higher in price and better sceneries.

sanya's underwater world was so different in singapore.

sg's is just a aquarium with ocean fishes..

sanya's was really go into the ocean or sea with marinesuit / ship. and u get to see corals at the baybed... walk in the sea touch the seacreatures.

so fun la! but vry ex.. me and dad wanted to try even though it's kinda ex.. well once in a lifetime experience yea? ..

but mum was scared or sumting.. so end up we just walkwalk ard the seaside. haha.. wasted! :P

Day 6

check out. goodbye to sanya. haha

took 3hours taxi back to HaiKou and stay at the wu zhi shan hotel in haikou for the last 3 days.

didn't do much during day6.

spent the whole day walking in haikou's 2, 3 shopping centers and food ! haha :D :D




Day7

went to haikou village (乡下) visit dad's father's cousins. and pray to ancestor.

after that, went back to haikou city and spent the rest of the day7 shopping and dinner in the mall :)

Day 8

checkout at 2pm.

reached back SG ard 9+pm. home sweet home !! :D :D

Overview:

8days of HaiNanDao tour was quite fun.

besides sick of eating loads of seafood and coconut drinks everyday (mind u, even their mineral water tasted coconut.. haha)

the rest was enjoyable.

the nvr-too-hot-or-cold weather. tourist attractions. the gorgeous beach. seashells. the sunset. the resort. not forget the (hot spring) 小鱼温泉.

didnt get to go in coz the 温泉 there is not vry hygenic.. so only got to seesee. ahha

and also not forgetting to wonderful experience at the rural rundown villages. seeing the farmers doing planting of young shoots under the hot sun.

how hard and tough the life they lead. but they still live happily and they nvr complained even abit.

rmbred i gave sweets to those village kids there. they can be so happy like anything.

乡下人就是那么的单纯. 那么的无邪. 那么容易就满足.

i admired these ppl seriously :)

haha.. that's about it.
