    hello

    shall update on my 1/2 month [17th Feb to 1st march] Trip from to China !



    1st stop:
    17th & 18th Feb
    flight was 8.40am
    by the time we arrived changi airport to check in, we realised that the computer systems for the whole airport checkin stations were DOWN.

    my god. seems 1st time happening like that. my pop was grumbling: "wa.. tio TOTO/ 4D also don't have so Zhun !! zzzz"






    so everything gotta be operated by HANDWRITTEN. how pathetic issit ?! so messy ... luckily things got done quite fast and we manage to fly off ard 9am.

    well, 1st stop ain't going to XiaMen... we took the plane and change flight towards Shanghai in the afternoon... and taking train to hang zhou in the morning the very nxt day on 18th.


    reached shanghai hong qiao airport ard 7, 8pm ... damn it should only be 4+hr flight.. but it took s long to reach due to weather delay.

    next morning which was the 18th, took an early train at "上海南站" to hang zhou ( 杭州)

    we went to Xi hu which known as westlake.

    Hangzhou, Zhejiang
    Xī Hú (Chinese: 西湖; literally "West Lake") is a famous fresh water lake located in central Hangzhou, in Zhejiang province of eastern China.
    The lake is divided by three causeways called Su Di (苏堤) , Bai Di (白堤), and Yanggong Di (杨公堤).

    冰糖胡卢 (bing tang hu lu)
    Sugar-Coated Haws on a stick (Bing Tang Hu Lu), which is sold everywhere in cold days and is one of the daintiest snacks in china. It looks brightly red, bearing a little sour and sweet.
    lately, other fruits were also being used too besides Haws.

    Had lunch at hang zhou, westlake's very famous restaurant! - Lou Wai Lou (楼外楼)
    Its history goes back 155 years to 1849 in the Ching Dynasty , and was set up by a scholar HOUNG Soy-Tong .
    After a difficult time during the Second World War, lots of politicians & other famous people gradually flooded back to frequent the restaurant. The restaurant was re-built in 1980 and again renovated in 1990.
    I have went to 楼外楼 to dine-in in the past. this time round, althought the renovation made it even more grand looking .. but seriously the food quality ain't as good as before.. and the Price.. especially for famous signature dishes are SO OMG expensive !! :(

    Dong Bo Rou !! - 东坡肉
    The story goes that the great Su Dong Bo was gifted with wine and the finest pork by the people of Hangzhou after he ordered the dredging of the West Lake and saved the people from the annual floods. When he saw the gifts, he asked them to be given to the people who were working so hard instead. “Let them eat together.”
    The servant misunderstood and thought Su Dong Bo said cook them together, so he did. What turned out was a great dish where the meat is soft and juicy. It’s a very tasty dish, but given its heavy fat content, should really only be enjoyed on special occasions.

    went of to hang zhou's city for shopping.. but of coz just Window shopping :/
    anyway I couldn't buy much clothes at all.. coz every shop only sells winter wear and wool sweaters... which I dun even need it in singapore ! :((




    no money spent on clothes .. but I spend the cash on KFC for Tea.. ahahha. opps!

    we took Bullet train back to shanghai. which was damn fast! :D



    alrights .. that's about my first stop at hang zhou!
    Shall intro the next stop .. which was Suzhou to you peeps next time round.
