15 mins till 2012!!

marking the end of 2011, i've many many deep thoughts. Many things happened throughout the year. Many down falls, many fruitful journeys. Let's do a brief recap!

i clinched best supporting actress award this year, which was my aim.

thanks everyone for the recognition & support!

I worked real hard and gotten my promotion fast.

wrote a song in the last month of 2011. Recording, shoots. It was an experience!

releasing it 1st day of 2012 tmr! :) excited

another chapter unfolded half year ago. worked my way one step closer towards my dream now. so near yet still so far away, but yeah FIGHTING!!
I fulfilled my resolutions of 2011! YAY

my resolution for 2012!
there's only one. haha the most important one: STRIKE HARD in what im doing now! I believe I'll conquer it. God Bless me.

lastly thank you to every friends who made my life a wonderful one. You all made me stronger, you all made me hang out to the tough journey i had now. thank you for standing by me all these while. 2012 will be an awesome one ahead!

HAPPY SPOOOOOKY HELLOWEEN EVERYONE!

opps, sorry for not updating this space that frequent, I was damn busy with my things at hand as usual. hardly sleeping enough again. my skin condition start to turn bad, eye bags etc :(

last week managed to squeeze out few hours to meetup with some friends! ... Diner, chill out with yummy food, few glasses of beer & quality time catching up :)

went to Smokey's BBQ & BAR at Joo Chiat.

haha It was my first time going to Joo chiat .. and i had a hard time finding. Apparently I took a bus and missed the stop which (I think) I should get down... hah.... It went to few stops after City Plaza.. panically I got down and walked backtrack. I approached couple of singaporeans... none of them knows the place i wanted to go. Luckily I'd my navigation in my phone to find my way there. It's BRILLIANT! :D

It's My Movie Review Time!!

this evening, got invited again by omy to GV Grand to watch the movie preview - The Change-Up.

MOVIE SUMMARIZED!

Growing up together, Mitch (Ryan Reynolds) and Dave (Jason Bateman) were inseparable best friends, but as the years have passed they've slowly drifted apart. While Dave is an overworked lawyer, husband and father of three, Mitch has remained a single, quasi-employed man-child who has never met a responsibility he liked. Following a drunken night out together, Mitch and Dave's worlds are turned upside down when they wake up in each other's bodies and proceed to freak out... freedom from their normal routines and habits, the guys soon discover that each other's lives are nowhere near as rosy as they once seemed.

From the title or the storyline you can somehow expect what to be expected:

It was another Body-Swap Genre comedy.

You remember those? Through some sort of magic, two characters find themselves occupying each other's bodies, There have been dozens like:

Face Off (1997) - FBI Agent and Terrorist (Technically not a true 'switch'; both men had plastic surgery performed to make themselves look like the other to infiltrate the other's life and learn their plans).

The Hot Chick (2002) - Clive (Rob Schneider) and Jessica (Rachel McAdams)

Just Follow Law (2007) - Supervisor and Subordinate.

etc etc...

The promise of the film title "from the director of Wedding Crashers (David Dobkin) and the writers of The Hangover (Jon Lucas/ Scott Moore)" which I kind of had a lil' hopes to it... but a lil' disappointed in the end...

"The Change-Up" is a stale offering, a low levelled humour kind of R-rated comedy with the lowest opinion of intelligence for its audience. It is the gross-out humour the film supplies instead of wit and charm.

Obscene scenes and foul mouthed which clearly stated M18. Such scenes were a lil' excessive and nutty.

On the positive remark of the movie, once the characters building which the screenwriter had their fun, somehow was managed to balanced up a bit as the story slowly began a gradual transition into something more in depth - problems & family issues, from the dumb stuffs to getting serious for both Dave and Mitch.

In the end they both learn to value their own lives, don't they? :)

ps: all the actors acting were strong enough to uphold the characters. Plus points & thumbsup for that & oh yes! the cute crazy babies too :)

Overall, I give 2.8 out of 5 Popcorns to it.

The film had a lot of potential but just didn't quite live up to it.

but hey! if you wanna just let go yourself from being so uptight from a hard day at work or weekday blues .. perhaps do come and watch this movie with NO expectations to it and have a couple of silly laugh :)

got more busy as days goes by. sigh

2weeks ago went Hong Kong, Shen Zhen with germaine.

finally a well deserved break.

it was actually quite tiring because we spent half the day locating around.

transport system of train station quite messy, pek cek! :/

and the transports was ... so expensive?!

1st day already spent about 50 bucks JUST on train, mine you!

overall other than all these fusses and hot weather,

2 days ago was the 7th day.

gotta do some prayers at home before heading to work.

in buddhism view, I was told when someone pass away, there's this 7, 49, 100 days prayer thingy.

many rules within this period of time:

cannot wear colorful clothes.

cannot go any partying events.

etc etc

but anyone know whats the reason behind? :(

seriously whats wrong with my body nowadays.

past 21 years rarely got sick .. was strong lika bull.

but this year became like a sick chicken every 1, 2 months. out of no where always suddenly become voiceless.

just came back from the 5 days of wake. I miss my bed.

today's the last day of my leave & also grandma's funeral.

tears are contagious.

I thought I was strong. don't wanna cry infront of people... but yeah i still teared abit in the end during the prayers when the brass band started to play those songka music.

cremation was even more upsetting to everyone i guess..

it feels kinda weird when suddenly someone leave your life.

Some believe that the death of some person can be predicted through symbols seen in dreams. Such symbols are falling teeth, falling hair, falling hat, dream of floods etc....

The arrival of black butterfly or a moth into the house is believed as an especially bad sign.

I saw this Gigantic Beautiful Moth outside the cooridoor since the day grandma pass away and also for the past few days, only till this morning funeral day, it's gone.

I dont know why it reminds me of grandma suddenly when i saw it. She seems near me.

the only thing now which made me DOUBLE hate work ... is when any events, important things, or anything other stuffs which i love .. all happens to fall on weekends, when most of the time I can't seem to be able to join in the fun :((

BUT ...Whenever I'm give 1 or 2 precious weekend OFF, friends not free, no events no nothing falls on that day.

OR when im OFF on Saturday, things happen to be on Sunday,

OR when im OFF on Sunday, things happen to be on Saturday !

went back to doctor again after 4 days. because my medicine is finishing and i still DON'T see any better !

zzz doc noora was on 1 week leave. and doc kenneth attended to me. i felt like im knowing all the nurses and doctors there already. zzz

and .. my medical fee was so bloodyhell EXPENSIVE ?!

adding up to $ 100+ ! :((

anyway doc gave me another 7 types of medicine, different from what i was intaking previously. something stronger i suppose.

ugh..

i felt rotten at home for the whole week.

previously went back to work 1 day only (because i thought im abit better already?) then next day mc again! u can see how terribly sick i was. i've never been like that before.

i asked for 1 day of mc, doc said: "What ?! 1 day is not enough! ... im advising u not to take the risk. its best for u to avoid work for 1 week. if not it'll be hard to recover in such state. if your eardrum bleed and burst i don't know hor .. "

in case you wanna know what happened to me,

it became worse now.

my chest muscle tear, serious throat infection (not due to heatyness but due to god-knows-what-virus) , cough, flu, ear drum bulging (omg)

friday gonna be back to work again.

i dont want to take anymore mc ! .. so hopefully i can be ... at least better by tmr? :(

i thought i was abit better today, and since my 2 days mc was over, i went back work.

but bloodyhell ..

it ain't better. but in fact .. kinda worsen.

besides throat infection, cough flu..

i've gotten this:

BAROTRAUMA

Barotrauma is physical damage to body tissues caused by a difference in pressure between an air space inside or beside the body and the surrounding fluid

Barotrauma typically occurs to air spaces within a body when that body moves to or from a higher pressure environment, such as when a scuba diver, or an airplane passenger ascends or descends, or during uncontrolled decompression of a pressure vessel.

Damage occurs in the tissues around the body's air spaces because gases are compressible and the tissues are not. During increases in ambient pressure, the internal air space provides the surrounding tissues with little support to resist the higher external pressure. During decreases in ambient pressure, the higher pressure of the gas inside the air spaces causes damage to the surrounding tissues if that gas becomes trapped.

Symptoms

Dizziness
Ear ache, discomfort or pain in one or both ears
Sensation of fullness or stuffiness in the ears

Feeling of pressure in the ears (as if underwater)
Moderate to severe hearing loss
Nosebleed

Treatment

To relieve ear pain or discomfort, first try to open the eustachian tube and relieve the pressure.

Chew gum
Inhale, and then gently exhale while holding the nostrils closed and the mouth shut
Suck on candy
Yawn

If self-care attempts do not relieve your discomfort within a few hours, or if the barotrauma is severe, you may need medical intervention. These medications may relieve nasal congestion and allow the eustachian tube to open. Antibiotics may prevent ear infection if barotrauma is severe.

If the tube will not open with other treatments, surgery may be necessary.

APRIL is a very BUSY month.

schedule tight like hell X(

and last week i started not feeling well as i guess due to overworked + not enough rest

and as a result of accumulation, i had high fever for days.. had to swap per with my colleague, thank goodness company allow for once.

bloody hell,

i rarely fall sick.. if happen to be sick, sure serious case.

yesterday fever gone down, but still flu cough & voiceless due to throat infection (wth seriously i don't know why i always SUDDENLY lost my voice when i never even had any heaty food) ... so i thought i can still manage to work.

and during work, my ear ache, ear block until i had a terrible headache until it felt like my brain nerves gonna explode.

and for moments suddenly i cant hear a thing.

mad scary.

i panic because i can't hear myself talking.

i've gotten blocked eustacian tube & barotrauma :(

they say if after few hours still like this gotta see a doctor.

well my ear ache, ear block got better but still partially deaf :(

i don't know if im heading work tmr,

yea i know, im like risky my own life. know how to take care of people but always don't take care of myself.

zz later ear drum burst.

well will see how again tmr when i wake up.

i know this is FUNNY ... but believe it ornot, i have never taken mc before in my whole 21+ years of life, not even during schooling days

how many of you eaten ice kacang? ( hahaha ridiculous question eh! ) ... yea i'm sure everyone has eaten this yummy dessert in sucha hot weather in Singapore.

What's puppy love?

Its an early stage of a teenage romance - pure, innocence, fun and exciting.

First love can happen in any age . But most people had fallen in love for the first time when they were teenagers. That exciting new experience most of us remember very well during all our life.

the showcase was hosted by our Yes 93.3FM DJ 萧嘉蕙 with 电影《初恋红豆冰》导演兼男主角阿牛 !

yeah are you kinda shock? ... "huh? 阿牛 !? -- 导演? 拍戏？I though he sing song de ?!"

yup you ain't hearing wrongly. This is somehow his 1st movie which he directed himself and acted as well. The story is based on 阿牛's personal childhood experience in Penang. haha :)

was my 1st time understanding him more, rather than in the past, everyone just knowing: oh 阿牛？那位唱红那首《对面得女还看过来》的马来西亚歌手咯!

hahaha

He sang us 电影主题曲- 纯文艺的恋爱, the lyrics & vocal were really nice .. and of course how can the whole event end without singing his classic song - 《对面得女还看过来》?! heh~ :)

My review about this movie:

由阿牛（陈庆祥）导演、齐集大马帮卖力演出的《初恋红豆冰》，由於李心洁，Gary 曹格，梁静茹, 品冠, 光良等等 .. 阵容强大吧？:)

《初恋红豆冰》品冠饰演的“白马王子” 相当搞笑，梁静茹饰演的“Barley冰”用眼神演戏，李心洁饰演的“打架鱼”在片中和演出她妈妈的陈美娥 “大打出手”，由於光良因档期问题辞演，易桀齐“执二摊”演出阿牛的哥哥“Radio”一角，但当中最抢镜的却是作流氓打扮的曹格.

Cast: A Niu, Fish Leong, Angelica Lee Xin JIe, Gary Cao, Nicholas Teo, Eric Moo etc

Synopsis: A woman brings her daughter Da Jia Yu run away from her husband. They live in a small-old town and stay at friend’s house earn for a living. hello

today was my another course with some of my girls and some other colleagues.

the lecture conducted by my faci was some how inspiring in a way from the lil' lil' things taught.

I felt enlightened, inspired, motivated.

eh surprised i didn't fall asleep for the long hours till evening, even after lunch hour period ! hahaha, it's either because i was attentive listening or either i kept munching alot of food in class every hour :P

yesterday i rush to buy a dress at orchard. it's free size and ended up it didn't really fit me. aaargh :(

i wanna send it for altering this morning, one can only give me back my dress on 25th Feb ?!! ... the other one charging me a bomb.... it's like the altering fee + the price of the dress, it's equivalent to the price of the pull&bear dress which i like alot.

3 days ago my colleague bought this xando dietary soup from 7-11. all of us were running out of food, especially fara, out of curiousity, all of us tried abit of it.

and .. ended up ... next 1, 2 hours later until ytd night ... im still having diarrhoea & feeling nausea. aaarghhh ...

it's so powerful eh? tummy-trim ... grind & detox my tummy until i dehydrate.. fml :(

i wonder why girls like to torture themselves with all these dietary stuffs .. -_-

yesterday there's this case of hypoglycasemia, emer ambulance was activated. the 1st thing the nurse came to me was with a cash box: " excuse me, the total bill will be $180, so who's gonna pay the bill?"

.....

omg that's .... expensive.

anyway, I have yet to shop for my CNY !

no new clothes.

no new shoes.

haaaaa...... tmr's my precious off, trrrrry to grab something this afternoon hopefully? >.<

2 days after CNY, 1 week on course again :(

argh my csp so far not same dates with any of my girls. so ZZz

hopefully things will go fine.

exactly 2 more weeks to CNY.

i only got 1 bloody off day, so not feeling very excited.

this year confirm getting lesser red packets since most of my relatives are all going overseas. eeek :(

I've yet to buy any new clothes .. perhaps not gonna buy since i ain't really gonna celebrate it this year :/

haha irritating.

i was happily blasting xiao jing teng's Wang Ji just now, and dad start blasting those traditional CNY songs over the cd player.

last thursday evening met up tingting finally!

was quite hard to find correct time to meet up everytime. but haha now is my fault due to work :/

had a movie at Cathay - The imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus !!

my type of movie worth watching.

a lil' chim at the beginning, but digestable..

and of course, Johnny depp, Jude Law, Heath Ledger ... thats awesome enough!!

had diner but 2, 3 hours later had ham & cheese croissant

another 2+ hours later had Teochew Fish porridge

another 2+ hours later (around 5+ am) .. Ray pulled me to have Mac breakfast with him.

my poor tummy. funny that i ate so much.

back around 8+ am .. KO straight away till 4pm then wakeup for brunch

still feeling god damn tired :(

lately i've been thinking and discussing this topic with my parents.

i thought of going for further course studying

but again the fees and whether i can survive and commit to it is not easy to conquer, to think last 3 months of my course training was already so mental & physical torturing.

so we'll will see it goes.

and we thought of moving house.

partly due to me.

but after looking a few units ..

we still feel yishun is quite good, in terms of accessiblity and unit space & price.

so i don't know if we're still going to move.

hmm ...

by the way, my feb roster Sucks.

CNY only 14th Feb is my off day!! aargh ... but aiy, better than nothing. some of my colleagues don't even get 1st day off :/
