Dr. Rick Marshall (played by the ever-predictable king of slapstick humor Will Ferrell), who specializes in quantum paleontology and time warps, builds a time travel portal that transports him, his research assistant Holly Cantrell (Anna Friel) and cave guide Will Stanton (Danny McBride) to an alternate universe hinged between the present, past, and the future.

The three befriend caveman prince Cha-Ka (Jorma Taccone) and band together against “Grumpy,” a T-Rex with a severe case of insecurity-driven aggression, giant vampire-like mosquitoes, and reptilian-looking Martians called Sleestaks.. etc

My Movie Review:

Science-friction Comedy - playing around with time travel, aliens, dinosaurs, and primitive cavemen. This movie was based on the old mid-'70s TV show of the same name, but this is a newly updated version with high-tech special effects.

Land of the Lost kind of disappointed me though there are plenty of laughs to be had throughout the film. Great for after a hard day at work ..

It tried to be a kids film, but there's alot of adultery humour. It tries to be an action-packed blockbuster, but the graphics aren't really good enough, and the action is not really in depth. Some scenes are even looked as if I'm watching some Old Tv Shows
Chessy, ridiculous plot with drinking dinosaur urine, almost kiss a monkey-child hybrid, and pass through a T. Rex's digestive tract . *urgh* ... cheap humour just like Scary Movie/ The Epic Movie ... The tried-hard-to-be comedy and "surprises" left me quite wondering "what the hell was going on?!" even though I laughed... FLATLY .......

haha well, I'm the type of person who likes movies that set me thinking after the show ended. good plot like wise.
the caveman and aliens are really rubbery fake like toys.. Uncool. hahaha The T-Rex gets something of a pay off though, but only to a limited success I guess? haha

Rating: 2/ 5 buttery popcorns!

haha. my graduation 2009

guess what?

I kinda won myself three 1-way Air Tickets to PENANG ! (aww it'll be cool if it's langkawi .. I always wanted to check out it's gorgeous beach )
anyway, yayness ... will be flying over with my parents for a 4 days free&easy holiday during mid November.
never been to penang before, so hope it'll be fun :)

poppy came back not long ago from his xiamen trip.
he said the location rental for his restaurant setup had increased.. so may not be setting up in xiamen if the rental keep rising ... he's gonna continue to do more market research & might reconsider Shanghai ( wth -.- ) .. or maybe back in canada again (aaahhHH!) ...

sunday afternoon went for a run and played basketball with bella.
felt reeeeally good after sweating it all out. I missed gym-ing. It's been quite some time .. must run / gym more during my free time yo! :)




yesterday took leave from work.
went for an job interview appointment at ubi tech park.. zzzz ..

scary.
usually I'm those who seldom buy clothes .. and YET .. today I went shopping, within few hours .. I've spent about 120 bucks on clothes and shoes. zzzz .. my money burnt off too fast but the feeling was quite a Woo-hOO0oo !. hahaha then again, mom nagged like hell (-_-)




so much paperwork to finish up & do marking for my H.I student's homework before friday's office meeting.. help x 10000
