Safari LESGO!

6:19 PM

my first time going to a Safari park.
Ironic eh? You should be asking: "First time?! you are a Singaporean, ain't Singapore have Night Safari that is award winning and yet you've never been there before? You gotta be kidding!"

haha yeah im serious, I've yet been to the Singapore Night Safari before though I lived in SG for close to 15 years, I still felt so much more like a tourist in sg. haha well at least I've been to the Singapore zoo ONCE lah!

Back to the rant,
Weather was a blessing that day, though it looked gloomy and drizzled a little right after I came out of the Safari. haha right timing :) .. yeah anyways, that day I decided to explore the Safari. It was quite a journey, 2+ hour travelling time to reach Weribee and a lot of walking, not forgetting, dusty. hiak!

Jeep driver / tour guide.
The park is Open range, which means animals wandered freely around! Getting a lil' excited haha

oohhh camels!

crossing weribee river

Giraffe spotted!

I think throughout the safari trip, I like giraffes the most.
Never in my life have I seen giraffes LIVE, let alone SO CLOSE UP!  *Snap snap snap~
One word to describe them - CUTE! :)

Look, that was how close! haha :D

another one walking towards our jeep!

:)

hippos' lunch time

Lion's den.
Didn't managed to snap any lion pics because it's quite a distance away, camoflauged with the soil.

Wild dogs. Looked kinda like the scary dogs in Resident Evil movie series. eek~

Hmm.. Forgot what were these called. Can you spot how many were there? haha

Wirribi Yaluk Trail.
Preserved wetland beside the safari.

The Safari's kinda small, so we ended quite fast. I'm not so how big Singapore Safari was, so cant compare. Next time when Im back to sg, I'll pay it a visit :)
Weribee has a lot of other small attractions other than the Safari, there's Weribee Park & Mansion (the photo below) but we never managed to get in because it'd passed the opening timing. haha

Just beside it, is State Rose Garden, which I managed to go. haha

Was pretty much a fruitful pleasant trip apart from soring legs. Eye opening & close up with wild animals.

DIY machine to make these coin tokens. cool eh?

Till then.
